From the city of Tulcea, after breakfast, we will first drive to M\u0103cin National Park and visit the park's information center, where the rich geological, zoological and botanical heritage of this area is presented and many national minorities are also represented. With a local guide, we then set out on one of the many hiking trails to the top of the ridge of the M\u0103cin Mountains, learning about many natural history features along the way. From the top of the ridge we will have a wonderful view of the landscape near the Danube Delta.<\/span><\/p>

Hike: about 6 km, 2-3 hours (with break, snack, etc.). In the afternoon you will return to Tulcea, where you will have dinner and some free time to explore the city before spending the night here.<\/span><\/p>

3. dan: 2. junij 2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In the morning we first visit a very nice museum with aquarium in the city of Tulcea, which presents all the habitats of the Danube in the delta and along the river. In the aquarium we see, among other things, some species of sturgeon that once dominated the river but are now extremely endangered. Then we return to the past for a good two thousand years and visit the remains of the once extremely important Black Sea port of Histria, which also experienced its decline due to the deposition of debris from the Danube. We will then drive to the village of Enisala, where we will walk through the ethnographic open-air museum and learn about village life in the recent past. Nearby are the remains of the once powerful Babadag Castle, built by the Genoese. Inside there is also an interesting natural history exhibition with a description of the habitats in the vicinity. Afterwards, you will drive to Tulcea, where you will have dinner and spend the night.<\/span>

4. dan : 3. junij 2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>

After getting to know the surroundings of the Danube Delta, it is now time for us to venture into its heart. On this day we will mainly stay north of the old main channel of the Danube and go bird watching along the very narrow river channels and also at the larger lakes that have formed between the many arms of the river. In the middle of the day we will stop in the village of Mila 23, where we will have a traditional lunch with the locals. After driving among the canals and lakes, we will drive to the village of Cri\u015fan, located on an artificial river arm, where we will have dinner and spend the night in a small ethnic hotel.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

5. dan: 4. junij 2026<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

After breakfast we leave the village of Cri\u015fan to explore the protected areas in the southern part of the Danube Delta. The route takes us first south to St. Gheorghe, where the southernmost arm of the Danube flows into the Black Sea. From the village of St. Gheorghe we will walk to the confluence of the river and the sea, where we will also have lunch with the locals after the tour. After lunch we will drive along the river channels to the small town of Sulina, where the main branch of the Delta flows into the Black Sea. After a short sightseeing we will return to Cri\u015fan village where we will have dinner and spend the night.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

6. dan: 5. junij 2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Northeast of Cri\u015fan and the old main bed of the Danube is the Letea Forest, which developed on the former sea dunes and is now a protected area with very characteristic vegetation, where, with a little luck, wild horses can be observed. We will take a typical horse-drawn carriage to the forest and back. After the tour, lunch awaits us at the locals' house. Afterwards, we will drive across the lakes where great white pelicans and Dalmatian pelicans are mainly found, and before arriving at the village of Cri\u015fan, with a little luck, we can also observe them. Dinner and overnight in Cri\u015fan.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On the last day of bird watching, we will drive along river channels and lakes north of the main river channel and have the opportunity to learn about the lives of local fishermen and have lunch with one of them. Po zajtrku bomo zapustili hotel in se z avtobusom odpeljali do letali\u0161\u010da v Bukare\u0161ti. Prihod v Ljubljano v ve\u010dernih urah.
